Checking Cruise Control Components/Disengagement Causes







NOTE: Drive the car at a speed above 35 km/h for at least 15 seconds. Check that the following components and disengagement causes are functioning. Note any deviations.

- Check that the speedometer is operating correctly.
- Set the cruise control switch to the ON position. Activate the cruise control by pressing in the SET+ button. The cruise control should maintain the set speed.
- Hold the SET+ button pressed in. The vehicle speed should increase.
- Set the cruise control switch to the OFF position. The cruise control should disengage.
- Set the switch to the RESUME position. The cruise control should return to the previously set speed.
- Press the SET- button so that the vehicle speed is below 35 km/h. The cruise control should disengage.
- Activate the cruise control. Gently press the brake pedal. The cruise control should disengage.
- Activate the cruise control. Lightly depress the clutch pedal (manual transmissions). The cruise control should disengage.
- Activate the cruise control. Move the gear selector from D to N (automatic transmissions). The cruise control should disengage.
