Finishing
The use of polishing can often avoid respraying and small defects such as scratches, impurities, spray mist etc. can usually be remedied by machine polishing.
Remove surface defects
Carefully remove paint runs with a razor blade.
Wet sand and start with P 1200 sandpaper and finish with P 1600 sandpaper.
Remove the sanding residue with a clean cloth.
Strong forces affecting the paintwork
For example, rapid washes and strong polish during the paint hardening period can give rise to paintwork damage.
Be careful when filling with gasoline (petrol).
Gasoline can cause permanent damage to new paintwork, even ruin it.
Rust protection.
Rust-proof sensitive areas in accordance with Volvo's instructions.
