Checking wiring and connectors
- Ignition off
Check the connector for the affected injector. Check for loose connections according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the signal cable between the affected injector terminal #2 and engine control module (ECM) terminal #59 (ECM-1E), terminal #90 (ECM-1F), terminal #60 (ECM-20) or terminal #89 (ECM-21). Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Remedy as necessary.
