Checking the wiring and component
Check the cable between rear electronic module terminal #D1 (terminal #B01) and "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the relay terminal, in particular relay guide 2/82 terminal #2, for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Remedy as necessary.
Try a new relay if no faults are found.

- When the relay is installed and activated, the voltage at the relay guide must be 0 V

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.








- Ignition off.
- Connect the connectors, install the components, etc.
- Ignition on.
Activate and de-activate the relay.
