Windshield wiper arm

Preparations when removing the windshield wiper arms




- Turn on ignition.
- Check that the wiper motor is in the parked position.
Switch the windshield wipers on and off.

- Switch off the ignition.

Removing windshield wiper arms




- Open the hood.
- Remove the cover using a screwdriver.
- Slacken off the nut, unscrew a few turns to protect the thread on the wiper mechanism spindle.
- Remove the wiper arm from the wiper arm mechanism by supporting a pipe wrench on the nut and pressing off the arm.
- Remove the nut.
- Remove the wiper arm.

Installing windshield wiper arms




- Install the wiper arm.
- Install the nut but do not tighten it.
- Adjust the position of the wiper arm as illustrated.
- Tighten the nut: tightening torques = 16 Nm.
- Reinstall the cover.
