Window Mechanism For The Rear Side Door

Removing The Window Mechanism

Removing The Insulation







Remove the door panel.

Remove the upper tie strap on the door panel.

Carefully bend the panel lining inwards.

Removing the inner lock mechanism

Remove the inner lock mechanism.

Removing The Lift Mechanism







Remove the panel lining inwards to access the two screws.

Lower the window. Remove the two screws (A).

Raise the window. Secure using tape.

Remove the four screws (B) and the three screws (C) for the window crank or the motor.

Power window mechanism: disconnect the connector.

Remove the lift mechanism through the upper opening.

Installing The Power Window Mechanism

Installing The Lift Mechanism







Install the lift mechanism in the door. Connect the connector.

NOTE:
- Apply contact grease P/N 1161427 in the connector.
- Install the under side first. Then the top and finally the mechanism.

Install the screws (B and C). Tighten by hand.

Slide the window down until the lugs run over the window rail.

Install the two screws (A). Tighten by hand.

Wind the window up and down a few times. Then close the window.

Check the alignment of the window.

Tighten the screws (B and C). Tighten to 8 Nm.

Wind the window down so that the screws (A) can be tightened. Tighten to 4 Nm.

Wind the window up and down a few times to check the function.

Installing The Inner Lock Mechanism
Install the inner lock mechanism according to The lock unit and handle for the rear side door.

Installing The Door Insulation

Install:
- the run-off profile.
- the upper tie strap in the door panel.
- the door panel.

Clean the window.
