SIPS sensor (C-post)

Preparing The Car







- Prepare the car.
- Fold up the rear seat seat cushion. Fold the backrest forward.
- Remove the screw and side cushion (A).
- Remove the rear sill trim panel.

Removing The SIPS Sensor (C-post)







Remove the two screws.

Carefully unhook the catch. Remove the connector.

NOTE:
- Do not pull the cable.
- Check that no pins are damaged on the sensor and connector.

Installing The SIPS Sensor (C-post)







Install:
- the connector and check the locking
- the two screws. Tighten to 6 Nm
- the side cushion and screw.

Fold back the backrest and the seat cushion.

Install the rear sill trim panel.

Finishing Work
- Prepare the car.
- Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) via VADIS. Erase the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
