Replacing the headlamp assembly

Preparations








The bumper is only removed on the side where the lamp is to be replaced.

Remove:
- screw (A) and plastic clip (B) in the wheel arch
- the air baffle under the car.





Remove:
- the two screws (C) securing the bumper at the side member. These screws must be removed from underneath the car
- the plastic clip (D) on the underneath of the front edge of the bumper.

Removing turn signal lamps




Slacken off the screw for the turn signal lamp two turns.
Press in the catches and pull the lamp housing forwards.
Disconnect the connector.

Removing headlamps




Disconnect the connector from the lamp housing.
Remove the four nuts holding the headlamp.
Fold out the wiper arm and pull the bumper 2 cm forwards.
Remove the headlamp using a twisting movement.

Installation

Install:
- the new headlamp. Tighten to 7 Nm
- the turn signal lamp
- the bumper
- the air baffle.
Check the headlamp and turn signal lamp function and the headlamp alignment.
Adjust the headlamp beam according to Headlamps, alignment Adjustments.
