Rear seat backrest

Removing backrest





Remove:
- Fold the left and right seats forward.
- Remove bolts on left (1x) and right (2x) from the support.
- Remove the nut under the lid in the boot.
- Remove center seat belt mounting.
- Fold right backrest forward if the left side is to be removed.
- Unlock left backrest and remove with supports.

Installing backrest

Install:
- Install backrest.

Note! Support for the right side should rest on the support for the left side.

- Position the backrest in the lock before tightening the nuts.

Note! V40: Take care about the reinforcement plate and ad if not fitted.

Note! If the left side is to be installed, ensure that the seat belt mounting comes under the support.

Torque: Back screws 21 Nm, seat belt 48 Nm.

Replacing rear seat armrest




Remove:
- Push the armrest down.
- Push the bracket in on one side.
- Remove the armrest.
Install:
- Check the bearing bushes.
- Place the armrest over the pin, press it in and push it over the other pin.
- Check the function.

Replacing armrest upholstery
- Bend back tabs.
- Pull the upholstery off over the pins.
- Install in reverse order.
- Check the bearing bushes.

Removing rear seat head restraint




- Push in the locking clip (on left side of head restraint).
- Pull the head restraint out of the rear seat.

Note! For S40, move seat backrest forward a bit (L and R).

Installing rear seat head restraint




- Install head restraints.

Warning! Ensure that the locking clip secures the head restraint properly by pulling upwards. The lock tab is always on the left of the head restraint.

Replacing rear head restraint (L and R) upholstery




- Remove the head restraint.
- Undo the upholstery at the bottom and remove it.
- Fit the upholstery, position it and reattach it.
