Upper B-Post Panel
Removing The Upper B-post Panel
- Remove the lower panel from the B-Post.
- Pull off the panel at the bottom.
- Lift out the panel at the top.
NOTE: Take care with the wiring for the seat belt tensioner.
- Remove the panel on the seat.
- Remove the screw for the seat belt.
- Insert the seat belt through the cut-out in the panel.
- Remove the panel.
Installing The Upper B-post Panel
NOTE: When replacing the panel on cars built in 2001-2002, use a panel from model year 2003. This panel must be modified by cutting off the guide on the panel (1) using a metal saw.
Insert the seat belt through the cutout in the panel.
Hook the panel into place at the top. Install the clips at the bottom of the panel.
Install:
- the screw for the seat belt. Tighten to 48 Nm
- the side panel for the front seat
- the lower on the B-post panel.
