The vehicle speed signal for the audio unit comes from the combined instrument panel. The signal is used to calculate the position of the car during GPS navigation.

Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors
- Open-circuit, short-circuit to ground or short-circuit to voltage in the signal cable between the audio unit and the combined instrument panel
- Faulty signal from the combined instrument panel.

Fault symptom[s]
- The car's position on the map is incorrect
- The RTI system is not working.
