Faulty Signal. Intermittent Fault

Faulty signal. Intermittent fault

Checking the wiring

- Ignition on.
Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
Check which of the following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are stored:
- SRS-0108
- SRS-010E
- SRS-0114
- SRS-011A
- SRS-0120
- SRS-0126
- SRS-012C
- SRS-0132
- SRS-0138
- SRS-013E.
Make a note of all the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) affected.

Continue - Checking wiring and connectors

-------------------------------------------------

Checking wiring and connectors

Warning! Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected, non-deployed, pyrotechnical airbag. This could deploy the airbag.

Warning! It is important that the correct connectors are disconnected.

- Ignition off
- Disconnect the battery negative lead
- Disconnect the affected connectors
- Disconnect the control module connector
- Connect the breakout box.
Check the control module connectors visually for damage.
Start by attempting to locate cables which have a short-circuit to each other.
If diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) SRS-0108 and SRS-010E are read off, disconnect the connectors for the driver's airbag (SRS-0108) and the seat belt tensioner (SRS-010E).
The following readings should be taken for the example above:
- terminals #27 (#2) and #30 (#5)
- terminals #27 (#2) and #29 (#4)
- terminals #28 (#3) and #30 (#5)
- terminals #28 (#3) and #29 (#4).
If there is a short-circuit between the cables, the resistance should be approximately 0 ohms.
Remedy as necessary.

Fault-tracing information

Information

Fault-tracing information
If the fault is intermittent, do not verify fault-tracing if the fault does not recur.
It is possible to view the information again, or leave fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC).

Do you want to view the information again?

Yes - Attempt New Test

No - FAULT FOUND
