IMM-121 PIN code

Condition




The immobilizer control module checks the EEPROM memory circuit when a new PIN code is entered into the memory (during initiation). Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) IMM-121 is stored if there is a fault. Faults causing diagnostic trouble code (DTC) IMM-121 to be stored also cause diagnostic trouble cote (DTC) IMM-112 to be stored.

Possible source
- Fault in control module memory circuit, EEPROM.
- Incorrect programming procedures.
- The immobilizer control module is not initiated.
- The immobilizer control module does not accept or cannot read the PIN code during initiation.

Fault symptom[s]
- The indicator lamp in the combined instrument panel is lit.
- Engine does not start. (Starter motor does not operate)
