Apply rust solvent to all components.

Remove:
- the rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) (count the number of turns)
- the rear engine cover
- Slacken off the clamp around the rear exhaust pipe
- the nuts. Remove the front exhaust pipe
- gasket
- the front exhaust pipe from the rear exhaust pipe.

Note! To ensure that there is no exhaust leakage, see: Flanged joint, assembling Flanged Joint, Assembling.




- Clean the mating surfaces
- Position the end of the front pipe in the rear pipe
- Install a new gasket. Tighten the front pipe to the three-way catalytic converter (TWC). Tighten the nuts. Tighten to 25 Nm
- Hang up the exhaust system. Tighten the clamp on the rear exhaust pipe. Tighten to 60 Nm
- Install the rear engine cover
- Install the rear floor hatch. Use grease, P/N: 1161408.
Turn the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) the same number of turns as when removing it.
Tighten to 55 Nm.
