Checking the function
Which of the side turn signal lamps are faulty?
- 1 The turn signal lamps on both sides
- 2 The left-hand side turn signal lamp
- 3 The right-hand side turn signal lamp.

- Check the VGLA control module connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check passenger compartment fuse 8. If the fuse is blown, check the circuit after the fuse for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. For further information about the circuit, see the relevant Wiring Diagram Service Manual.
Check the cable between passenger compartment fuse 8 and VGLA control module terminal #A26 (A26) for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Checking the wiring
Check the VGLA control module connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the cable between VGLA control module terminal #A12 (A12) and passenger compartment fusebox terminal #G19 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Check the cable between VGLA control module terminal #A13 (A13) and passenger compartment fusebox terminal #I21 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Select Continue.

Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied as follows:








- Ignition off
- Reconnect the connectors, reinstall components etc.
- Ignition on.
Activate the turn signal lamps.
The turn signal lamps should light.
