Signal too low. Intermittent fault

Checking the cable








- Ignition off
- Disconnect the battery negative lead
- Disconnect the SRS and VGLA control modules.
- Connect the battery negative lead.

Warning! There must not be anyone inside the passenger compartment when the battery is connected.

Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) may have been stored during transportation between the factory and dealership. Check that the transit safety catch in the integrated relay/fusebox in the engine compartment is correctly connected.

Caution! Do not touch the terminal pins in the SRS control module. There is a risk of static discharge which could damage the control module.

Check the connector for the SRS module and the connector for the lock and alarm (VGLA) control module. Check for intermittent contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the connector for the SRS module #55 and the connector for the lock and alarm (VGLA) control module #A10. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults. Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Remedy as necessary.
