Signal too high. Intermittent fault

Checking the connector and cable












- Ignition off
- Disconnect the battery negative lead
- Disconnect the control module.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module terminal #54 (#29) and control module terminal #52 (#27). Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Also check connector terminal #54 (#29) and the nearby wiring. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module terminal #54 (#29) and the battery positive terminal.
The resistance must be approximately 1.5 kohms.
Remedy as necessary.
