Signal Too Low. Intermittent Fault
Signal too low. Intermittent fault
Checking the connectors
- Ignition off
Check the connector of boost pressure sensor 2 (MAP) for contact resistance and oxidation as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults and loose connections as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults. Check especially for damage.
Check the signal cable between boost pressure sensor 2 (MAP) terminal #3 and control module terminal #13 and the power supply cable between boost pressure sensor 2 (MAP) terminal #1 and control module terminal #74 for intermittent open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Hint: Boost pressure sensor 2 (MAP) is supplied 5 V from control module terminal #74.
Check the signal cable between boost pressure sensor 2 (MAP) terminal #3 and control module terminal #13 for intermittent short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.

If the fault is intermittent, do not verify fault-tracing if the fault does not recur.
It is possible to view the information again, or leave fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
