Signal too high

Checking the function of the blower fan




- Ignition on
- Turn the blow fan selector to zero
- Activate the blower fan relay
- Check the blower fan operates at maximum speed when activated.
The fault is intermittent if the blower fan operates at maximum speed when activated.





Is the function OK?

Yes - Intermittent fault

No - Checking the cable and component

Checking the cable and component
Check the signal cable between climate control module terminal #A24 and blower fan relay terminal #3. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Try a new blower fan relay if the cable is OK.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Turn the blow fan selector to zero
- Activate the blower fan relay.
The fault is remedied if the blower fan operates at maximum speed when activated.

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Fault-tracing information

Intermittent fault
Check the signal cable between climate control module terminal #A24 and blower fan relay terminal #3. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage.
