Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition







Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) IMM-233 is stored two seconds after ignition is switched on if the immobilizer control module tries to read a signal from the transponder and does not receive a signal from the antenna ring. Faults which cause diagnostic trouble code (DTC) IMM-233 can also cause diagnostic trouble code (DTC) IMM-225 to be stored.

Possible source
- Defective antenna ring.
- Antenna ring is not connected.
- Fault in the control module antenna power stage.
- There is a short-circuit to ground in the cable between control module # 9 and antenna ring # 1.
- There is a short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable between control module # 9 and antenna ring # 1.
- There is a short-circuit to ground in the cable between control module # 10 and antenna ring # 2.
- There is a short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable between control module # 10 and antenna ring # 2.
- Open-circuit in the wiring or the antenna ring.
- Short-circuit in the wiring or the antenna ring.

Condition
- The indicator lamp in the combined instrument panel is lit.
- The engine does not start. (The starter motor does not operate)
