Installing the rear windshield

Special tools:
998 6030 998 6030

Preparations




Check the mounting clamps.
Install new spacers.
Dimension A = 50 mm.
Dimension B = 230 mm.
Dimension C = 230 mm.
Install suction pads 998 6030 998 6030
Place the window on a stand.
Install the trim strip at the top edge.
Install strips of tape vertically on the bodywork to secure the window position when installing.

Windshield installation
Apply PUR adhesive according to Installing windshields Service and Repair.
Fold back the cable connectors for the heated rear windshield.
Position the windshield.
Secure the strips of tape to the window.
Push the window down by hand if any further height adjustment is required.
Make sure that the rubber seal is positioned firmly against the body.
Leak test!

Note! Allow the adhesive to cure so that the window does not change position before installing the components.

Installing components

Install:
- the connector for the heated rear windshield
- the C-post panel
- the parcel shelf according to Parcel shelf, 4-door cars Service and Repair
- the roof trim according to Roof trim
