SIPS sensor (C-post)

Preparing the car
Prepare the car according to Note when disconnecting and connecting the battery lead Battery Disconnecting.




Fold up the rear seat seat cushion. Fold the backrest forward.
Remove the screw and side cushion (A).
Remove the rear sill trim panel according to Rear sill trim panel Rear Sill Trim Panel.

Removing the SIPS sensor (C-post)




Remove the two screws.
Carefully unhook the catch. Remove the connector.

Note! Do not pull the cable.

Note! Check that no pins are damaged on the sensor and connector.

Installing the SIPS sensor (C-post)





Install:
- the connector and check the locking
- the two screws. Tighten to 6 Nm
- the side cushion and screw.
Fold back the backrest and the seat cushion.
Install the rear sill trim panel according to Rear sill trim panel Rear Sill Trim Panel.

Finishing work
Prepare the car according to Note when disconnecting and connecting the battery lead Battery Disconnecting.
Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) via VIDA. Erase the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
