Replacing The Boost Pressure Sensor 2

Removing the charge air pressure sensor







- Clean the area for the pressure sensor in the charge air cooler (CAC).
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the nut.
- Press the two protruding edges (A) outward. Pull the pressure sensor straight up, away from the charge air cooler (CAC).
- Clean the terminal in the charge air cooler (CAC).

Installing the charge air pressure sensor







- Carefully check the rubber seal. Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the rubber seal.
- Ensure that the pressure sensor is the correct way up. Then press the pressure sensor down into the charge air cooler (CAC).
- Check that the two protruding edges (A) enclose the pressure sensor properly and hold the sensor in place.
- Reinstall the nut. Tighten the nut. Tighten to 10 Nm. Reconnect the switch.

Finishing
- Start the engine. Check for leakage.
- Check that the pressure sensor for charge air is working correctly.
- Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Then erase them.
