Fault-Tracing Information
HINT: The on-board diagnostic (OBD) system for the cruise control is different from the diagnostic functions for other systems: Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and disengagement causes are only stored in the control module until the engine is switched off. Therefore the ignition must not be switched off after the test drive until any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and disengagement causes have been read off.
- When activation of component MOD 2 is confirmed and the vacuum system has been checked, the car must be test driven before diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can be read off and erased and the input and output signals for MOD 5 can be read off.
- Test drive the car to check whether diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and/or disengagement causes have been stored.
