Removing hood components





Remove
- the soundproofing for the hood (press pins)
- the washers and hoses by pressing the retaining clips down
- the two seal strips on the headlamp
- the seal strip over the entire width
- the radiator grille according to Radiator grille Service and Repair.

Installing hood components

Note! A new hood must always be rust-proofed.

Install:
- the radiator grille according to Radiator grille Service and Repair
- the sealing strips on the headlamp (use new double-sided adhesive tape)
- the washers and hoses
- the soundproofing for the hood
- the weatherstrip over the entire width.

Note! Chassis no. 820741-: When replacing a short version weatherstrip, it must shortened at both ends by 120 mm.

Note! Chassis no. -820741: When replacing the hood (for chassis numbers - 820714), both ends of the weatherstrip must be shortened by 120 mm.

Note! Switch off the windshield washers (if possible).
