Faulty Signal






Faulty signal

Status check
- Raise the car so that the wheels are accessible
- Start the engine and select a gear or rotate one of the front wheels by hand.
Check that the speedometer is operating correctly.

Note! If the car is equipped with anti-spin equipment, disengage it using the button.

Is the speedometer display incorrect?

Yes - Replacing the component

No - Information

Replacing the component
- Raise the car so that the wheels are accessible
- Start the engine and select a gear or rotate one of the front wheels by hand.
Check the speed signal from the ABS module.
If an incorrect value is noted it means that the ABS control module is defective. Replace the ABS control module.
If the correct value is noted it means that the combined instrument panel is defective. Replace the combined instrument panel.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.




- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Test drive the car or rotate a front wheel.
Check that the speedometer is operating correctly.

The combined instrument panel has previously registered a fault in the vehicle speed signal from the ABS control module, but registers that the fault no longer exists.
