Replacing heated oxygen sensors (HO2S)

Replacing front heated oxygen sensors (HO2S)
Removing front heated oxygen sensors (HO2S)
Remove the splashguard under the engine.
Disconnect the connectors for the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S).
Remove:
- the tie strap for the servo hose on the torque rod
- torque rod.
Disconnect the wiring for the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) from the clips and clamp.
Remove the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S).
Installing front heated oxygen sensors (HO2S)
Install the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) using 999 5543 SOCKET NV-22 HO2S 999 5543 Socket NV-22 HO2S. Lubricate the threads using paste 116 1408.
Tighten to 45 Nm.
Connect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connectors.
Install the lower engine cover.
Finishing
Install:
- the wiring for the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) using the clip and the clamp
- torque rod.
Install the servo hose on the torque rod using a tie strap.
Test drive the engine.
Check for leakage.
Replacing rear heated oxygen sensors (HO2S)
Removing rear heated oxygen sensors (HO2S)
Remove the splashguard under the engine.
Disconnect the connectors for the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S).
Detach the rear SIPS member.
Use a mobile jack under the rear silencer as support.
Slacken off the mounting for the exhaust system.
Carefully lower the exhaust system using the mobile jack until it is almost against the central SIPS member.
Remove the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S).
Installing rear heated oxygen sensors (HO2S)
Install the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) using 999 5543 SOCKET NV-22 HO2S 999 5543 Socket NV-22 HO2S. Lubricate the threads using paste 116 1408.
Tighten to 45 Nm.
Raise the exhaust system using the mobile jack. Install the mountings.
Install the rear SIPS member.
Connect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connectors.
Install the lower engine cover.
Test drive the engine.
Check for leakage.
Erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
Reset trim.
