Faulty signal. Permanent fault

Checking the signal cable
Check outside temperature sensor resistance which should be between approximately 150 ohms (+60 C) and 10000 ohms (-40 C)
Check signal cable between combined instrument panel terminal A24 (breakout box #24) and outside temperature sensor #1 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault , for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault and for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check ground lead between combined instrument panel #A25 and outside temperature sensor #2 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Start the engine.
Read off outside temperature by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol.
