Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The transmission has an integrated function which when stationary, with the engine idling, the brake pedal depressed and gears D, 4, 3 or L engaged, disengages the drive section of the transmission. The function decreases fuel consumption and vibration from the transmission when running the engine at idle speed. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) TCM-012A is stored if the control module registers that clutch C1 disengages incorrectly.

- Shift solenoid S1 has jammed in the OFF position
- Shift solenoid S2 has jammed in the ON position
- Shift solenoid SLS has jammed in the OFF position
- Internal fault in the transmission
- Defective control module.

Fault symptom[s]
- The warning lamp for the automatic transmission flashes
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
