Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) GLA-531 is stored if the control module registers that the signal from the interior lighting is higher than 1.5 V for 10 seconds when a door is opened or the car is unlocked using the remote control or the key.

- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.
- Open-circuit in the signal cable.
- Contact resistance in the terminals.
- Internal fault in control module output stage.
