Signal Too Low
Signal too low
Checking the signal from the passenger door central locking switch
Read the status of the central locking switch when the switch is unaffected.
The value should be HIGH.
Is the value HIGH?
Yes - Intermittent fault
No - Checking the passenger door central locking switch
-------------------------------------------------
Checking the passenger door central locking switch
- Remove the central locking switch from the door panel
- Disconnect the central locking switch.
Read off the status of the central locking switch.
If the value is now HIGH it means that the central locking switch is defective.
Is the value HIGH?
Yes - Replacing the component
No - Checking the wiring
-------------------------------------------------
Replacing the component
Try a new central locking switch.
Continue - Verification
-------------------------------------------------
Checking the wiring
Check the cable between control module terminal #A20 and passenger door central locking switch terminal #4. Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Verification
Hint: After repairs have been completed, they must be verified as follows to ensure that the fault has been eliminated:
- Ignition on
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
Read off the status of the central locking switch. The value must be HIGH in the unaffected position and LOW when the passenger door central locking switch is pressed to the lock position.
Is the value OK?
Yes - FAULT FOUND
No - Fault-tracing information
No Fault Found

Fault-tracing information
The fault should have been detected and remedied. As this is not the case fault-tracing has failed.
Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
Do you want to exit fault-tracing?
