No Power Supply. Permanent Fault

No power supply. Permanent fault

Checking connectors

- Ignition off.

Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) may have been stored during transportation between the factory and dealership. Check that the transit safety catch in the integrated relay/fusebox in the engine compartment is correctly connected.

- Check the climate control module connector A (30-pin) and the integrated relay/fusebox in the engine compartment. Check for contact resistance and oxidation. Remedy if necessary.
Check for damage carefully
- Reinstall the components, reconnect the connectors etc.
- Ignition on
- Wait at least 20 seconds for the control module to carry out its diagnostics
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
The fault was caused by loose connections in the connector if the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has changed to intermittent.

Other information:
- To remove the control module, see Comfort module Removal and Replacement
- To access the temperature damper motor, see Temperature damper motor Temperature

Has the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) changed to intermittent?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Checking cables

-------------------------------------------------

Checking cables
Check that battery voltage is normal and that the charging system functions. When the generator (GEN) is charging the voltage should be 12-15V.
Check fuse number 8 (10 A) in the engine compartment integrated relay / fusebox.
Check the cable between climate control module terminal #A1 and fuse number 8 (10 A) in the integrated relay/fusebox in the engine compartment. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Hint: For further information about the circuit after the fuse, see the Wiring Diagram Service Manual.

Remedy as necessary.

Other information:
- To connect the breakout box, see Connecting the breakout box, climate control module Connecting The Breakout Box
- The cable should have battery voltage regardless of the position of the ignition switch. For other values, see Climate control signal specifications Signal Specification
