Checking connectors








- Ignition off
- Check the seat heater module connectors B and C for contact resistance and oxidation. Remedy if necessary.
Check for damage carefully
- Reinstall the components, reconnect the connectors etc.
- Ignition on
- Wait for the three minutes so the climate control module (CCM) can carry out the diagnostic
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
The fault was caused by loose connections in the connectors if the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has changed to intermittent.

Has the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) changed to intermittent?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Checking the cable and component

Checking the cable and component
Check the seat heater pads and wiring between connector B terminal #1 and #4 and connector C terminal #1 and #2. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Check the thermistor in the seat cushion and the wiring between connector B terminals #2 and #3. Check for an open-circuit. Check for short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check that the power supply to the seat heater module is OK between connector A terminals #1 (ground) and #4 (battery voltage).
The ignition must be on during this check.
Try a new seat heater module if the components, wiring and power supply is OK.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Wait at least three minutes so that the control module has time to carry out its diagnostic
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
The fault has been remedied if the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has changed to intermittent.
