Removal
Removing the side panels 2Turn the screw 1/4 turn.
Carefully flex the panel at the screw. Pull the panel backward (arrow) until it comes off.

Carefully grab the gaiter and pull it straight up to release the cover panel
Removing the ash tray 4
Remove the ash tray in the back end of the tunnel console.
Remove the ash tray holder (push the two catches).
Remove the holder. Disconnect and separate the connector from the holder.

Press the four catches. Remove the cover panel from the upper panel of the shift lever gaiter.

Raise the storage box lid.
Press the catch with a screwdriver.
Raise the cover panel upward/forward

Remove the CD rack from the storage box.
Remove the four screws for the console. Pull the front end upward from the mounts.
Preparations for tunnel console removal 8
Move the shift lever forwards.
Apply parking brake. If necessary, release the adjustment by loosening the adjustment screw 5-10 turns.
Removing the tunnel console 9
Fold out the rear end of the tunnel console.
Carefully move it forward beyond the parking brake lever.
Lift off the console.
Note:
Be careful when removing the console so it does not touch the lever knob.
Removing wiring and connectors from shift lever carrier 10
Release the wires from the clips.
Separate the connector to the solenoid.
Release the connector from the shift lever carrier.

Put the gear selector in position P.
Remove:
- locking for cable at shift lever
- cable from the front of the shift lever carrier. Pry it out using a screwdriver.
- key lock wire. Pry out the lock sleeve somewhat, and then lift the cable from the shift lever carrier
- 4 screws for the shift lever carrier.
- remove shift lever carrier
