Checking that the RTI (road traffic information) screen closes

Checking the component
Check that nothing is preventing the screen from closing.
Check fuse no. 18 in the integrated relay / fusebox in the passenger compartment.
Check the cable between the display screen terminal #J18 and control module terminal #C12. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.

Was a fault detected?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Replacing the component

Replacing the component
Try replacing the display screen.
Ignition on.
Deploy and close the screen using the RTI (road traffic information) switch on the steering wheel or with the remote control.

Does the screen deploy and close correctly?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - No Fault Found
