Replacing rear door window mechanism

Removing rear door window mechanism




- Remove the door panel, see Tailgate Tailgate.
- Remove the insulation partly.
- Wind down window and remove securing screws (A) (2x).
- Push window upwards and secure to the top with tape.
- Remove window mechanism mounting (B) (4x bolts).
- Remove mounting by winder or motor (C) (3x bolts).
- Electric window: undo connector and remove window mechanism through the top gap.
- Remove mechanism, turn mechanism in the door and remove it via the upper top gap.

Note! First take out the under side, then the upper side and finally the mechanism.

Note! On electric windows, first turn the mechanism and remove through the top gap with the motor first.

Note! The window mechanism is only supplied as an assembly.

Installing rear door window mechanism




- Install the mechanism in the door (through the top gap).

Note! First place the under side, then the upper side and finally the mechanism.

- Electric window: use grease in the connector.
- Attach the connector.
- Tighten all bolts by hand.
- Tighten the bolts by the winding mechanism, tightening torque: 8 Nm.
- Slide the window down until the securing tabs go over the window guide rail.
- Half-fasten the screws.
- Wind the window up and down a few times and secure the window mechanism mounting with the bolts (4x), tightening torque: 8 Nm.
- Tighten the screws (2x) from the guide, tightening torque: 4 Nm.
- Install the insulation. Apply new sealant (PN 277253) if necessary and press carefully into place.
- Install the door panel, see Tailgate Tailgate.
- Clean the window.
