Replacing gear selector knob

Removing gear selector knob




Remove plastic ring holding the boot against the gear selector knob.
Pull down the boot from the knob.
Remove knob with catch by pulling it straight up off the gear selector.

Hint: Considerable force is required to remove the knob.

Installing gear selector knob and boot




Install:
- Gear selector knob with catch
- Install boot with plastic ring.
Position the ring with the rounded edge against the gear selector knob.
