Replacing the speed sensor

Preparations




Ignition off.
Remove:
- The air cleaner (ACL) housing assembly, see Replacing the air cleaner (ACL) Replacing Air Cleaner (ACL).
- Cut the tie straps for the cable harness at the bracket for the connectors
- The screws for the bracket for the connectors

Replacing the sensor




Clean thoroughly around the sensor.
Remove the sensor and separate the connector.
Install:
- The new sensor with a new O-ring. Lubricate the O-ring with automatic transmission fluid.
- Tighten the screw.
Torque: 5.5 Nm.

Installing components




Connect the sensor connectors. Install the connectors on the bracket
Install the bracket.
Torque: 10 Nm.
Secure the cable harness to the bracket. Use a tie strap.
Install the air cleaner (ACL) housing. See Replacing the air cleaner (ACL) Replacing Air Cleaner (ACL).
