Glass breakage sensor and cable harness

Preparation




Make a note of the radio code.
Turn ignition key to position 0.
Remove the battery ground lead. Otherwise you might create diagnostic trouble codes.

Replacing glass breakage sensor

Location Of Components, Glass Breakage Sensor Microphone:

Remove:
- Remove the left courtesy light glass and disconnect the connector.
- Remove sensor out of the courtesy light glass.

Install:
- Position sensor in the courtesy light glass.
- Connect connector and place courtesy light glass.

Removing/installing glass breakage cable harness





Remove:
- Remove the A post panel.
- Remove the panel under the dashboard on passenger side.
- Remove complete interior lighting.
- Undo sensor connector from glass breakage module.
- Remove sensor cable harness from A post and take it out.

Install:
- Position sensor cable and install connector in the glass breakage module.
- Attach connector and install interior lighting.
- Install the A post panel.
- Install panel under the dashboard.

After installation
Turn ignition key to position II.
Install the battery ground lead.
Read diagnostic trouble codes for the VGLA alarm system.
