Installing New Oil Gaskets on PCV System

Removing intake manifold
Remove the intake manifold, see Replacing the intake manifold and gasket, refer to Engine, Intake Manifold.





Remove:
- The oil trap hose
- The intake manifold mounting
- The two oil trap bolts
- The oil trap itself.
Check that the oil trap gasket surfaces are clean.

Installing oil trap





Clean the hoses with compressed air.
Connect the two oil trap hoses to the hose stubs on the engine block.
Use a new hose clip for the top hose and tighten the bottom one.
Install the bolts and tighten them to 20 Nm.
Install the intake manifold mounting; loosely install the bottom bolt.
Use new sealing rings.
