Cable harness headlamp, replacement

Removal

Removing the cable harness





Remove:
- the switch
- any protective panels above the headlamp units
- both the protective sockets on the reverse of the lamp unit.
Note the color of the cable to the headlamps.

Remove:
- the headlamp connector
- the connector from both the lamps.
Twist the connector out of the housing. Do not damage the headlamp housing.

Installation

Installing the cable harness




Clean the headlamp housing where the connector connects.
Check the seal at the connector.
Position the cable harness in the headlamp housing. Connect the cables to the headlamps.
Press the connector into place in the headlamp housing. Check that the lock is working.
Connect both connectors to the lamps.
Check that the headlamps are working.

Install:
- both the protective sockets on the reverse of the lamp unit
- the protective panels above the headlamp units, if applicable.
