Headlamp Alignment Actuator: Service and Repair

Replacing headlamp range adjustment motor

Remove headlamp range adjustment motor




- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the headlamp cover.
- Remove the motor. Turn to the left (right motor) or to the right (left motor).
- Lean the motor backwards until the ball on the motor spindle is detached from the mounting on the reflector and remove the motor.

Install headlamp range adjustment motor





Note! The P/Ns for the right and left-hand sides are the same.

- Press the reflector upwards through the bulb holder opening.
- Lubricate the ball on the motor spindle.
- Let the ball on the motor spindle slide into the mounting on the reflector and locate the motor by turning it a quarter turn.
- Install the cover and the connector.
- Check the function.
- Check headlamp alignment and adjust if necessary.
