Replacing interior lighting

General

For lamp type Specifications. Most lamps can be replaced in the same way, see instructions.

The following is modified:
- Lighting in the center console (ashtray and automatic transmission gear shift selector).
- Lighting for passenger compartment heater control panel.
- Vanity mirror.

Replacing lamps, general







Remove the lamp glass by inserting a pocket-knife blade or similar under the edge and twisting.

Lighting in the center console

- Remove the right panel of the center console. The lighting units for the ashtray and the gear selector can now be removed.

Lighting for passenger compartment heater control panel







- Remove the knobs from the heater controls by carefully prizing out with a screwdriver behind the knobs.
- Remove the front panel (insert fingers in the openings and pull carefully.

The lamps are behind the front plate.

Vanity mirror lighting







- Carefully remove the lens with a small screwdriver.

Light switch lighting







- Remove the light switch (2 screws).

Hint: Pull forward lightly. Pull down and forwards again.

- Remove the bulb holder backwards using narrow round nosed pliers.
