Condition

Location Of Components, Passenger Compartment (Park / Neutral Position (PNP) Switch, Automatic Transmissions):

- The fault is permanent.
- The control module is correctly connected.

Possible source
- Open-circuit in the cable between control module connector terminal 2 and ground.
- Short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in the cable between control module connector terminal 2 and ground.
- Defective Park / Neutral position (PNP) switch in the automatic transmission.

Fault symptom[s]
- The cruise control does not disengage when the gear selector is moved from D to N.
- The cruise control does not engage.
- Car will not start.
