------------------------
Checking the power supply to the brake valve
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the brake valve.
- Selector switch connected.
- Ignition on.
- Selector switch in the OFF position.
Connect a voltmeter between brake valve connector terminal #1 and ground.
The voltmeter should read approximately 0 V.
OK - Checking the cable between the selector switch and the brake valve
Not OK - Checking for a short-circuit
------------------------
Checking for a short-circuit
- Ignition off.
- Check the cable between selector switch connector terminal #2 and brake valve connector terminal #1 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Select "Continue" when the fault has been remedied.

------------------------
Checking the cable between the selector switch and the brake valve
- Ignition off.
- Brake valve disconnected.
- Disconnect the selector switch.
Connect an ohmmeter between selector switch connector terminal #2 and the brake valve connector (terminal #1).
The ohmmeter should read 0 ohms.
OK - Checking brake valves
Not OK - Checking for an open-circuit
------------------------
Checking for an open-circuit
- Ignition off.
- Check the cable between selector switch connector terminal #2 and brake valve connector terminal #1 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.

------------------------
Checking brake valves
- Ignition off.
- Brake valve disconnected.
- Connect the selector switch.
- Selector switch in the OFF position.
Connect an ohmmeter between the terminal pins on the brake valve.
The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 ohms when the brake pedal is unaffected. The ohmmeter should read infinite resistance when the pedal is depressed more than 8 mm.
OK - Fault-tracing information
Not OK - Adjusting the brake valve
------------------------
Fault-tracing information
- Only cars with manual transmissions have a clutch valve. Specify the type of transmission before continuing with fault-tracing.
Does the car have a manual transmission?
Yes - Checking the power supply for the clutch valve
No - No Fault Found
------------------------
Adjusting the brake valve
- Ignition off.
- Brake valve disconnected.
- Depress the pedal so that it is not in contact with the valve.
- Pull out the piston as far as possible. Slowly release the pedal.
Connect an ohmmeter between the terminal pins on the brake valve.
The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 ohms when the brake pedal is unaffected. The ohmmeter should read infinite resistance when the pedal is depressed more than 8 mm.
OK - Verification
