Central locking motor, trunk/tailgate

Removing central locking motor trunk (S40)





Note! Note the position of the pull rod.

- Remove boot lid cover (S40), see section Replacing boot lid components Replacing Boot Lid Components.
- Push the rod out of the cylinder lock mounting clip.
- Remove the mounting screws (2x).
- Remove motor, undo connector and unhook rod.

Removing central locking motor tailgate (V40)





Note! Note the position of the pull rod.

- Remove tailgate cover (V40), see section Tailgate components, changing Tailgate Components.
- Push the rod out of the cylinder lock mounting clip.
- Remove the mounting screws (2x).
- Remove motor, undo connector and unhook rod.

Installing central locking motor trunk/tailgate (S40/V40)
- Install connector
- Install rod (as noted before).
- Position motor unit and fit the screws. Handtighten the screws.

Note! Push the cylinder lock as far to the right as possible and the motor unit as far to the left as possible and tighten the screws.

- Check the function of the motor unit.
- Install boot lid cover (S40), see section Replacing boot lid components Replacing Boot Lid Components.
- Install tailgate cover (V40), Tailgate components, changing Tailgate Components.
