Front Door Lift Mechanisms

Replacing front door lift mechanism

Removing the front door lift mechanism







- Remove the door panel.
- Partially remove the insulation to allow access to the screws.
- Lower the window. Remove the 2 mounting screws (A).
- Raise the window. Secure the window in the raised position. Use tape.
- Remove the 4 mounting screws (B) for the window.
- Remove the 3 screws in the mounting at the crank or motor (C).
- Disconnect the connector. Remove the lift mechanism.
- If necessary, install mounting sleeves on the new lift mechanism. Tighten to: 10 Nm.

NOTE: The lift mechanism is supplied as a complete unit.

Installing the lift mechanism in the front door







- Install the mechanism in the door (through the upper opening).
- Apply contact grease to the connector.
- Connect the connector.
- Tighten all screws by hand.
- Tighten the screws for the lift mechanism. Tighten to: 8 Nm.
- Slide the window down until the lugs run over the window rail.
- Loosely tighten the screws
- Run the window up and down a number of times. Then tighten the 4 screw for the lift mechanism. Tighten to: 8 Nm.
- Tighten the 2 screws for the guide rail.

Tightening torques

- Old type of window: 4 Nm.
- New type of window: 8 Nm.
- Reinstall the insulation.
- Reinstall the door panel.
- Clean the window.
