Removing and installing front bumpers

Removing the front bumper




- Applies only to B4194T or B4204T engines: Remove the covers over the right and left headlamps
- Remove the turn signal lamp bulbs on the left and right-hand sides
- Remove screw A and the right and left retaining clips for the mudguard
- Remove the cable clip B on the front bumper.
If applicable:
- Disconnect the connectors for the outside temperature sensor, horn and headlamp wipers
- Disconnect the washer hose for the headlamp wipers at the T-junction.




- Remove the front engine cover under the engine. Disconnect the connectors for the sidemarker lamps.
If applicable:
- Disconnect the connectors for the fog lamps.

Note! If a parking heater is installed, disconnect the power supply connection at the air cleaner (ACL) and disconnect the ground lead for the parking heater.




- Remove the 2 clips (A) from the front bumper
- Remove the 4 mounting screws for the bumper.
If applicable:
- Fold the headlamp wiper arms forward.
Remove the front bumper assembly.

Installing the front bumper




If applicable:
- Fold the headlamp wiper arms forward
- Install the front bumper
- Install the 2 clips (A) for the front bumper
- Install the 4 mounting screws for the front bumper. Tighten to 40 Nm.




- Connect the connectors for the sidemarker lamps
- Connect the connectors for the fog lamps if applicable
- Install the front engine splash guard under the engine.

Note! If a parking heater is installed, connect the power supply connector at the air cleaner (ACL) and connect the ground lead for the parking heater.




- Install screw A and the right and left retaining clips for the mudguard
- Connect the connectors for the outside temperature sensor, horn and headlamp wipers
- Connect the connectors for the turn signal lamps. Reinstall the turn signal lamps
- Install the covers over the right and left headlamps.
