Add keys
This function is used when the customer has ordered new keys. The key code for the extra key must be programmed into the control module before the key can be used to start the car. The control module memory has room for six key codes.

Erase key
This function is used when the customer wants to exclude one or more keys from starting the car. These may be lost or stolen keys which could be traced back to the car.
All programmed keys are erased from the control module memory. The remaining keys are then reprogrammed into the control module memory again. It is important that the customer takes all the keys to the workshop. The control module memory has room for six key codes.

Model year 2003-: For cars with an integrated ignition key / remote control
The head of the integrated ignition key / remote control ( see illustration) contains functions for both the immobilizer and the remote control. This means that for a new unprogrammedignition key / remote control both the immobilizer control module and VGLA control module must be programmed with the functions for the immobilizer and remote control. After this procedure, order the software package to program the remote control. However the immobilizer control module is still limited to storing a maximum of six keys. The VGLA control module is restricted to three remote controls.

Programming keys in the control module

Note! Programming / erasing can be carried out when the keys and / or software have been delivered.

Program / erase the key in the control module for S/V 40according to9139877.
The function must be checked if a new key has been added.
Check in VIDA vehicle communication that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have been stored during the process.
