Checking wiring
- Ignition off.
- Remove the connector from the driver's airbag.
- Ignition on.
Connect an oscilloscope between driver's airbag #1 and ground. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring And Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
The oscilloscope should now display a spiked pulse with an interval of approximately 500 ms.
If the value deviates there is a short-circuit in the cable. Replace the cable harness.

Select "Continue" when the fault has been remedied.
